I made my three blog posts, and continued commenting on the blogs of others.
Since deciding that my next release will be November 8th, I’ve done nothing to prepare for it – I need to start soon (trying to decide if this Herc Tom collection will be two stories (a total of 31,000 words), or four (63,000 words.) Four stories might be easier to sell…
I still have nine stories to write before the end of this year. The current project is coming along slowly, and I only logged a pitiful 97 words (no more excuses; that’s what happens when you stall and don’t bother trying to write until the last day of the week.)
This lack of productivity has become a recurring theme.
I’m really big on the JUST DO IT principle when it comes to writing. 99.9% of all would-be writers just wouldn’t.
But I’m out of my rhythm. I don’t really know if it’s the house repair turmoil of the last three months, or if the last year and a half of working only on Swordsmaster has put me so out of the short-fiction habit that I have to start building back into it like it’s 2011 again.
I think I’ll devote the rest of the time I would have spent on this post writing fiction.
Swordsmaster – my first novel (which only took me forty-some years to write) is ready for reading.
Fate is neither something to run away from, nor something to run towards.
The first bright-eye to be seen on the mountain in living memory, Sandrik didn’t want anyone to think of him as they did the ominous Aurae of legend, so he had worked hard to keep his special abilities hidden. But there was more to Sandrik than even he knew. Now that it was time for him to enter the ancient ruins of Taernfeld and be declared a man, what other changes might he be forced into?
