Last Week’s Goals
The first official week of 2022 started well. Blog entries were posted on schedule. I returned three pieces back to market within a couple of days.
I wrote on six days, and made my daily quota on five of them. I made my weekly quota just barely with 3,560 words of fiction. The draft of Swordsmaster #3 made it to just under 17,000 words.
My first scheduled release of the year will be on January 21st. It will be “Lasting Impression”, a speculative fiction short story about an encounter that leads a biology major into the less mainstream field of cryptozoology. The story is available now as a preorder at several online retailers (you can find the links on MY CURRENT BOOK PROMOTIONS PAGE), or if you would like to read it before its release – AND FOR FREE – it’s available as a Smashwords presale at this link:
As always, honest ratings and reviews are greatly appreciated. Thanx!
Swordsmaster Series Progress
After a lot of stopping and starting, the first draft of Swordsmaster #3 is finally rolling along. I had a vague idea of the direction I thought the story should take, but in typical PANTSER fashion, it has decided to take me in unanticipated directions. Once the draft is completed it may let me exert some control over it, but for now, it will be what it wants to be.
After I finish the draft, I will have a good enough idea of what will be needed to set it up, and I can return to Swordsmaster #2 and work on it until it’s ready for release. No date is set yet for that yet, but it will be this year (at least that’s the plan, until LIFE decides differently – just saying…)
